covid-19 itwa update

How are you? What about ITWA and COVID-19?   On a personal note: Oh boy this virus went from an “exotic far away China thing”, to a global alarming situation, real fast. Portugal, like many other countries, has undertaken broad safety measures in order to protect its citizens, and we’ve been following the situation closely. We have been applying authorities’ guidelines on a daily basis, and although they felt strange at first, we have slowly gotten used to them. Keeping distance, washing hands constantly, staying home and much more.

Meanwhile at ‘locked-down’ ITWA we feel healthy, safe and rather optimistic the dust will settle soon. We are enjoying an amazing international crew who are showing their best by getting things ready for the upcoming summer season.     I must admit, we actually feel very privileged especially at times like this, being surrounded by amazing nature, clean ocean air, spring colored flowers, great food; but most of all, we are and have always been isolated from civilization anyway, therefore being in quarantine is not that strange for us.

But of course, like you, we hope things will go back to normal as soon as possible. And if there is one lesson we at ITWA have learned from all of this, it is to ask ourselves the question, “to what ‘normal’ do we want to return? Be more ECO, more sustainable? Continue following our dream to become more self-sufficient?” What about you?     In conclusion, we want to say that we are more determined than ever to make you, our guests, feel safe, relaxed and at home in nature this upcoming summer season.  To do so we will organize more activities like yoga, meditation, surf and standup paddling, vegan master classes, treasure hunts for the kids, nature walks and more.    So once the dust settles, we would love to welcome you to ITWA once again.    For now, Stay safe, Stay Happy.   Warm greetings ITWA team.
